Shoko, who works in an office, Takayuki, who works from home as a painter, and their 9-year-old son Haruki have been going through the days together. Shoko was recently promoted to a managerial position, while Takayuki has been struggling to make a livable wage from his illustrations. To balance this out, he's taking on a large portion of the chores and childcare, but things become frustrating when laundry is left until late at night to be done or dishes start piling up. When Shoko tries to talk with him about it, Takayuki gets flustered and tries to run away from the conversation. Things only get worse when it becomes clear that he's just walked out on them...
